106. People roam in this world like pots in a persian wheel, full of ego about their education, tapas, power etc.

107. Without true knowledge of Guru principle, people who perform great sacrifices, yogis, who perform severe austereties do not get liberated.

108. Those who are averse towards serving Guru, be they gandharvas, yakshas, pitrs, charanas, rishis, siddhas, and devatas (all divine beings), will not get liberated.

101. Even without the path of jnana (wisdom), one attains liberation with the grace of Guru. Those who follow the path of Guru, need no other sadhana.

102. The scriptures tell a way of discriminating permanent with impermanent by negating all as 'neti neti' (not this, not this), and speak of something permanent. That permanent thing is Guru only. One should therefore worship Guru with body , mind, and speech.

103. It is with the grace of Guru that Brahma, Vishnu  and Shiva became capable of performing their duties (creation, sustanence, dissolution) of this universe. One should always worship Guru.

104. Even the angels, kinnaras, gandharvas, pitrs, yakshas, and sages like tumburu and others do not  know how to serve Guru.

105.People who are well versed in scriptures, tarka, vedic chandas, knowers of gods, karmakandin, worldly sciences do not know the secred of Guru-tatva.

96. Dear Parvati, Whichever direction rests the holy feet of Guru, prostrate to that direction with deep devotion.
97. One should offer sashtanga pranam (full prostration on ground) to Guru daily, by which one attains steadiness and liberation.
98.One should lie flat on ground touching earth with eight parts of body (palms, toes, knees, thighs, chest and head) and offer sashtanga pranam offering sight mind and speech to Guru.
99. Which ever direction Guru maharaj , the eteral witness of rise, stay and dissolution of world, dwells, we should offer handful of fresh blooming flowers.
100. There is no use doing countless practices leading to diseases, pranayam incorrectly done etc. Guru's grace is sufficient to remove all difficulties in practices. Therefore one should serve Guru and offer prostrations to Guru.

91. The syllable 'Gu' indicates the state beyond three gunas, syllable 'Ru' indicates beyond forms. Guru is said to be one who can bestow the state beyond all gunas and forms.

92. Guru in human form is Shiva without three eyes, Hari without four arms, and Brahma without four faces.

93. I prostrate with folded hands to Guru who is ocean of mercy, and whose grace can liberate beings from the samsara.

94. Just as blind cannot see sunrise, people of dull intellect cannot see the supreme form of Guru which can be seen with sharp intellect and discrimination.

95. Guru is the saviour of oneself and innumerable generations of one's family line. Knowing this one should prostrate to Guru thrice daily.

88. When Siva is angry with you , Guru can save you , but when Guru is angry with you, nobody can save you ? Therefore, once a Guru is accepted, one should take refuge in him.

89. Honey bees gather honey from different flowers, going from flower to flower. Similarly, a strudent should approach different teachers for knowledge.

90. I worship the two feet of Guru, which is beyond the reach of speech, mind and senses, and is shiva and shakti, supreme.

85.Guru is the cause of the world, bridge to cross the samsara, source of all knowledge. Guru is Sambhu, and I prostrate to him.

86. Guru's form is the object of meditation, Guru's feet is the object of worship, Guru's words are mantras, and cause of liberation is Guru's grace.

87. The merit accrued from pilgrimages accross seven seas, and sacred places, and bathing in sacred water, cannot be equal to one thousandth part of merit accrued from partaking the wter with which Guru's feet is washed.

82. To one who is lost in the forest of samsara and deluded, Guru is the one who shows right path. Salutations to such Guru.

83. People suffer from three afflictions (Adhibhautika, Adhidaivika, and Adhyatmika) and wander about the world restlessly for peace. To such people the water with which Guru's feet is washed becomes Ganga (purifier). Prostrations to Guru.

84. For those who are bitten by the snake of ignorance, there is no doctor other than the Guru, who knows the maha mantra of right knowledge.

79. Guru is first and foremost, without beginning. Guru is supreme. There is no mantra equal to Guru mantra.

80. One and only help, relative, and friend in this world. Guru is Self of all Dharma. I prostrate to such guru.

81. This universe is situated in Guru, and Guru is the situated in the world. Guru is the universe itself. I prostrate to such Guru.

78. My Lord is Lord of Universe, my Guru is Guru to the universe and my Self is the Self of all beings. I prostrate to such Guru.

73. This world is of many forms. In Guru no diversity appears. Guru shines as the cause and effect, I prostrate to such Guru.

75. Guru breaks the bondage formed by karma of countless lives, by the fire of wisdom. I prostrate to such Guru.

70. Whose knowledge is this universe, in whom duality doesnt exist, who is ever established in the knowledge of Truth,  I salute and offer prostrations to sch Guru.

71. Those who think they know Brahman doesnt know really, and those know that they dont know, knows the Truth. One established in such Truth, I prostrate.

72. Guru is the cause of all, yet appears as the effect. My prostrations to Guru who is both cause and effect.

67. Guru is truth, by whom this world appears as Truth, and this world is illumined by Guru's light. The happiness in the world is due to Guru being happy. I prostrate to such Guru.

68. Guru is one in whom this universe exists. By Guru's light everything here is illumined. By Guru's delight we think that love, son are dear to us. I prostrate to such Guru.

69. By whose power we see everything, by whose power our intellect and mind work, by whom the three different states (waking, dream, deep sleep) appear as continuous and cognised, that Guru I prostrate.

64. Guru is eternal, peaceful, awareness, unattached, transcend 5 fundamental elements (earth, air, water, fire, and space), and above Naada, bindu and kala (three stages prior to creation). Prostrations to such Guru.

65. Beyond three gunas (Satva, rajas, tamo), faultless, taintless, ever peaceful, pervading all moving and non-moving things. I worship such a Guru.

66. Guru is my father, mother, relative, and God. Guru frees us from the delusion of endless samsara. I prostrate to such Guru.

61. The meaning of  'TVAM' is visible as Guru in all moving and non-moving, in all life-forms and non-life forms, as Guru pervades all and explains the 'TVAM-PADA'.To such Guru I prostrate.

62. As consciousness-light which moves and moves not, and which pervades all the three worlds, Guru explains the 'ASI-pada'. To such Guru I prostrate.

63. One percieves Self, which is Siva, one frees oneself from maya, within a second or half-second by following the words of Guru,  I prostrate to such Guru.

57. Those who enjoy the fruits of samsara will fall into hell. Prostrations to Guru who saves such people and provides salvation.

52. One should surrender one's body, senses, prana, wealth, relations, self, wife etc all these to Guru.

54. The lotus feet of Guru is decorated by the essence of scriptures. Guru is exponent of all vedanta. Therefore one should worship guru.

47. The first syllable 'Gu' creates maya and gunas. 'Ru' is para brahman that removes maya and delusion.

48. Serving Guru is very great and very difficult to obtain for devas also. So, Garuda, serpents, gandharvas, suddhas and all celestials always occupy in guruseva.

49. Guru tatva is supreme. there is nothing higher than that. One should worship Guru and offer body mind soul to Guru.

50. The sadhaka should present to guru, seats, bedding, carriage,vehicles, ornaments, etc.

51. One should worship Guru in thought , word, and deed always offering 'saashtanga namaskara' (full prostration), placing the whole body flat in front of Guru. One should never feel shy to offer such prostrations.

31. Svaashrmam cha svajaatim cha svakirthi pushtivardhanam |

Etat sarvam parityajya Gurumeva samashrayet ||

Meaning : Think always of Guru abandoning one's stage of life, caste, materialistic progress.

32. Guru vaktre stitha vidya Guru bhaktya cha labhyate |

trailokye sphuta vaktaro devarshi pitr manavaha ||

Meaning : By the devotion towards Guru, one gets wisdom of Self  through the teachings of guru. This fact is well established in three worlds, as enunciated by Devarshis, ancestors and wise beings.

33. Gukarashcha andhakaro hi rukarasteja uchyate |

Ajnana grasakam brahma gurureva na samshayah ||

Meaning : The syllable 'Gu' means darkness, syllable 'Ru' means light. Remover of darkness of ignorance, and illuminator of supreme knowledge is Guru who is brahma.

34. Gukarascha andhakarastu Rukarastannirodhakrit |

andhakara vinashitvat Gururityabhideeyate ||

Meaning : Syllable 'Gu' means darkness, syllable 'Ru' means remover of darkness. Guru is one who removes the darkness.

35. Gukarascha gunaatito rupatito rukarakaha |

Gunarupa vihinatvat Gururityabhideeyate ||

Meaning: Syllable 'Gu' means on above three gunas (qualities of good=satva, bad=rajas, ugly=tamo), and syllable 'Ru' means above forms. One who is beyond all gunas and all forms, he is known as Guru.

36. Gukarah prathamo varno maayadi gunabhasakah |

Rukaarosti param brahma mayabhranti vimochakam ||

Meaning : Syllable 'Gu' means the binding force 'maya', and syllable 'Ru' means dispeller of maya and all illusions, hence known as Guru.

28. Kashikshetra nivasamcha jahnavi charanodakam |

Gururvishveswarasakshat tarakam brahma nishchayaha ||

Meaning : The place where Guru lives is Kashi. The water with which Guru's feet is washed is Ganga. Guru is personification of Vishweshwara and he is the saviour without doubt.

29. Guruseva gaya prokta dehasyaatakshayi vataha |
tatpaadam vishnu paadam syat tatradatta manastatam ||
Meaning : Serving Guru is pilgrimage to gaya, Guru's body is the imperishable banyan tree.
Guru's feet is the feet of Lord Vishnu and the mind gets concentrated easily on guru's feet.

30. Guru vaktre stitam brahma praapyate tat prasadataha |
Guror dhyaanam sadaa kuryaat purusham svairini yatha ||
Meaning : Eternal wisdom resides in the speech of Guru. One attains brahman-hood with the grace of Guru. Just as a devoted wife thinks of her husband, one should think of their Guru always.
