I & awareness

Sri Sadgurubhyoh Namah

Dear Guruji,
Thoughts of the day. Pls validate,
1) 'Sense of I (small i or big I doesnt matter)' , is the Jiva bhava. The subject and objects together form one whole which is known by awareness. Shiva is not 'I'. There is no sense of 'I' , that is Shiva. According to Sankhya school, Purusha is the highest entity, and the practices are to separate Purusha from Prakriti. But there is a truth beyond Sankhya. Purusha is Jiva. One who knows this is Shiva.
2) We are taught since childhood that there are living beings and non-living matter. This is the cause of one of the ways of suffering and a wrong notion fed into the minds of innocent children. What if we are taught that everything is consciousness behaving differently ? If I think that the dead wall (according to the childhood conditioning) also has life (according to the rectifying conditioning), then there is a joy to think and know about wall also. The wall may not speak human language, and interact with us like other animals, that doesnt mean that it is non living dead matter. The silence & inertness is its behaviour. If I think that the dead objects has life, then wherever I look only joy & bliss is experienced. It is the bliss of Self only.
3) The sadhana / meditation of being in the present moment : One way of being in present moment is like a tortoise. Trying to bring the mind to present moment, turning away from all thoughts and bringing onto either Self as consciousness, or bringing attention to present time moment. This is tapas. Another way is to be with mind and wherever mind wanders, make that thought or that moment as the present moment. This is effortless.

Guruji replies :
1) Yes
2) May be. How to teach and who will do that
3) Yes

  1. 2. we are taught from childhood like, bhumi tayi, surya deva, nakshatra, and everything is devas. we do pray them. we also know every Gods ( mythology ) have animals as vehicles, some fruits flowers plants trees as very dear to them. we also know nature(physical) itself is shiva and shiva loves nature. We pray. Knowing all these where are we going wrong? what kind of ignorance is this? how to correct? where is lack of teaching here?

  2. The teaching given in modern schools classify things as living and non-living. What you mentioned is given by grandparents at home which is rubbished as non-scientific by the society in general. Hence the ignorance prevails in society. We have to correct by modifying the school curriculum to incorporate the way of life and teachings of rishis. lack of teaching is there as I explained.
