I understood the Identification of Self with body, mind, Intellect and ego as below, Pls validate.
The awareness is always present. All the actions are done by the body, all the experiences are by mind, and all the thoughts by Intellect. All the above three can be done by Ego (forgetful of self) or in awareness (remembering Self as Atman). Sometimes actions, thoughts, feelings occur in forgetfulness of Self and after that passes , I will return to 'being aware of Self'. Now if I think that those actions , thoughts, feelings belongs to me, then there is a problem. This is the Identification with Ego. When water is clear, if one can have the understanding that they are not the doer, thinker, experiencer but only knower then there is liberation from Karma.
