Salwa attacks Dwaraka

Mahabharata Vanaparva Arjunaabhigamana-parva Section-XIV
Sri Sadgurubhyoh Namah

Yudhistir asks Krishna, "Why were you not present at Dwaraka ? Where were you and what did you do?".
Krishna says, "In the rajasuya yaga that you performed, you have given me the highest honor. This was objected to by Sisupala, son of Damaghosha, and I have slain him, then and there. Hearing this, His brother Salwa was enraged and attacked Dwaraka, when I was not there. He came in his airborne car and hurled various weapons on Dwaraka. The Yadu warriors fought valiantly, but many of them were slain. Salwa was searching for me for a fight. He was saying , where is that coward Krishna, who has slain a child (Sisupala) who was not ready for a fight. I challenge him, and will kill him in the fight. After I returned from Indraprastha to Dwaraka, I enquired why there was so much destruction. On hearing that Lord of saubha, Salwa, has attacked Dwaraka and challenged me, I decided to slay him. I went in search of him and found him in an island in the midst of sea. I blew my conch Panchajanya and stood for fight. In that fight I slew many Danavas. After coming back from that fight, I heard about your plight and came here at once".
