Sri Sadgurubhyoh Namah
It is the teaching of vedanta that 'each man is potentially divine'. I understood it as follows,
"There might be sometimes when man displays negative tendencies, but given proper teaching and nurturing , positive divine qualities can be inculcated and each man can turn into divine being. There is no permanent sinner. The atma is pure. evil tendencies are some layers of dust on the pure atma. if properly cleaned each man is divine. negative is just outside, inner core of each person is divine."
