Sri Sadgurubhyoh Namah
-- Self-realization happens by grace. Not by the individualeffort/sadhana. It can happen to anybody, anytime, chosen by divine
grace. Sadhana can help in purifying the mind (chitta shuddhi).
I will continue to do my sadhana , but leave it to the divine and wait
for self-realization.
-- I am not talking about self-realized. I am talking about sadhakas.
Jnana marga and bhakti marga are same. In jnana marga, understanding
self, and continuous abiding by the self has to be there. In bhakti
marga, continuous rememberence of grace/god/guru and taking refuge is
there. both give the same peace. In both, a continuous practice is
required. If there is disturbance in jnana marga, one has to just be,
use intellect more and reduce noise. In bhakti marga, if there is
disturbance, transfer the burden of reducing the noise onto the Guru
feet / deity, surrender to guru. One can practice both
interchangeably.
-- Spirituality is not a matter of convenience. It doesnt work if you
practice it for sometime when it suits you, and leave it when it
doesnt suit you. There will be trials and tribulations, and all the
time, 24 hrs one has to practice it in case of ups and downs. when
there is a happy time, forget the guru and god and start enjoying,
involve, then a kick will happen. when there is a trouble, remember
guru, do not grieve. everything will pass. Guru is ever watching from
inside. it is a relentless monitoring and rectification process. When
there is a sakshi bhava, then there is no suffering. when you think,
yes, I am peaceful now, and forget yourself, relax, then there is a
fall in consciousness, and you start suffering. this is the work of
guru. this is a kick. It is a reminder to go back to source. This is
the meaning of story of kanakadasa, where he couldnt find a place
where there is nobody watching to eat a banana.
-- Energy is consciousness, and consciousness is energy. Shiva is
shakti, and shakti is shiva. When in yogic practices, energy moves, it
takes consciousness along with it. this is kriya yoga. If you use
consciousness and use intellect and discriminate between self and
non-self, your consciousness becomes sakshi and it takes energy up
with it. individual energy has individual consciousness. universal
energy has universal consciousness. if mind drags consciousness to
material things, then energy also moves outward and downward. if you
use mind to think of nobler things, then energy moves upwards and
inwards, and then consciousness also moves towards divinity.
